Once bone-dry, the piece is meticulously sanded by hand. We smooth out every rough edge and refine the surface to prepare it for painting.

• Hand Painting:

The artisan applies natural mineral pigments, drawing the rosy cheeks and the wood-like texture of the fork with delicate brushstrokes.

• High-Temperature Firing:

Finally, the piece is fired in a kiln at extremely high temperatures. This solidifies the clay, making it water-resistant and permanent.
